Hiring – Head Chef

Award winning Darwin Waterfront Restaurant, Hot Tamale, is looking for a Head Chef to our dynamic team.

Hot Tamale is a large Mexican restaurant/bar housing Australia’s largest selection of Tequila’s and beautiful Mexican cuisine that is a fusion of, Northern Mexico / Southern California Mexican fused with local ingredients.  We focus on fresh ingredients and produce 98% of our items in-house, from our salsa’s to braised meats.

As Head Chef you will be responsible for leading the kitchen team and ensuring that all processes and procedures are being followed; including food safety systems, cleaning rosters, open and close schedules to name a few.

As head chef we require a calm happy chef with a positive attitude & good communication skilled.  You need to be a fully qualified chef with preferably 5 years plus experience and 2 years at management level.

As a business we look for attitude, process and effort and will be looking for these traits for any applicants.

Preferably you will be local but also happy to look at both sponsorship and 6 month contracts for the right candidate.
